'CHANDORAX'
by Inquisitor VanDietrich
(With apologies to Servitor Scribe Kipling 1880)
On the bridge of
the old 'Slime Puppy' flying cross the Screaming Sea
There's a chaos lord a ragin' and I know he curses me.
For the solar winds are blowing through the dust that was his home
Reduced to blighted ashes 'neath the exterminatus bomb.
Oh the Death of Chandorax!
Cross the screaming cultists' backs!
And the plasma falls like thunder
Onto Vorx across the tracks!
The old empire
is safer now, the traitors dead and gone
But never safe shall empire be while e'en one lives on.
For the Legions they have lifted on flaming pillars to the sky
And shipped out in their thousands to that curs'ed chaos Eye.
Oh the Death of Chandorax!
Cross the screaming cultists' backs!
And the plasma falls like thunder
Onto Vorx across the tracks!
And now they fall
like wolves upon the peaceful grazing sheep
Desecrating temple high and smashing every keep.
And like a scything wind they race across our peaceful land
My ship is packed, my weapons locked, I wait but your command!
Oh the Death of Chandorax!
Cross the screaming cultists' backs!
And the Plasma falls like thunder
Onto Vorx across the tracks!
Ship me to the
Eye of Terror where there ain't no best, just worse
Where a thousand souls are screamin' neath the chaos gods' dark curse.
For I hunger to bring justice, for to stop them in their tracks
For to smite them in my fury as I did at Chandorax.
Oh the Death of Chandorax!
Cross the screaming cultists' backs!
And the Plasma falls like thunder
Onto Vorx across the tracks!
