PIRATE JUNKSHIP

This model came about a while ago when Iwas looking at the remains of some old star wars kits, and thinking that I'd like to make some sort of Sci-Fi model in between war gaming projects. The only cockpit part i had was from an AT-ST, so i just held other bits up next to it until it all looked right. It's not really meant to be an Ugly, in fact, it's not meant to have anything to do with Star Wars, but considering what i built it from, most people take it for an ugly. (of course, the parts are from several different scales, but no one seems to notice that!)
I envision this ship as being something welded together out of scrap metal and spare parts by ruthless pirates, desperate for every ship they can get. I even came up with a few sketches of the things the parts came from (unfortunately, i seem to have lost them, but the cockpit was meant to come from some sort of armored truck i think) It's small, ugly, ungainly, and mounts a massive laser cannon, what more could a pirate want? Of course, I'd be worried about flying the thing (let alone using it in space – it doesn't even have a windshield!)
The model was built quickly, and i gave it a base coat of paint, but then it just sat around for about a year until i was talking to a friend about starship modeler and Star Wars ships, and i suddenly decided to finish it. The main color is Model Master Acryl (not sure exactly which color), and everything else was done with Citadel color acrylics. The markings on the fin are old transfers, the numbers are from an old plane, and the skull is from a Citadel Miniatures chaos tank transfer sheet.
