TILE
2: HARBOR
| If
i had a river, i might as damn well have a harbor. Not many Necro
tables have them, and this was aunique oportunty. It's basically
impossible to make a harbor with out the use of modular terrain,
so now was my chance. Besdies, how could i call the table the settlement
of Slime Pit Harbor with out one? The
harbor is similar to the river in basic construction. However, i
also removed a 10cm by 40cm section from one side to create the
harbor itself. I added piers made from Plastruct girders and thin
card with a variety of styles. Each pier is different from the others,
making the whole thing look more ramshackle. |

Having
just installed 44 rivets to the bridge (and that isn;t even half
the total!) I was disinclined to add rivets to each pier. I had
also decided that the harbor section was to have a slime pump on
it. This was simply made from card and some sections of fax papaer
roll. I
had run out of fuel drums (I am sure i have some more, but i don;t
knwo where i put them) i had to imporvise a bit on the debris. I
made a sort of noxious chemical container from an old paint pot,
some card, a slotta base and a press-stud. It reminded me of a submarine
conning tower, so I almost made a sub to go with it,
but it would have taken up to much space, and ships would not have
been able to pass. I might make a submarine as a seperat piece or
vhielce for special scenarios. |
| The
river bed was treated the same way as it was on Tile 1, and the
surface of the board was finished the same way as all the others. |
