TILE 3: CRATERS

Modular terrain lends inteslf to a whole host of deep feratures, like craters and inspection pits. So on this board, i added as much depth as I could without detracting from playability. First off, i cut 3 round depressions to form the bottoms of the craters. Then i added wdges of polystyrene aroudn the edges to form the walls, and plastered the lot. With the walls added, the craters looked to deep, so i added lots of plaster to the bottom to make them a bit shallower.
Next up i made a sort of 'inspection pit', buy cutting a sqaure out of the styrene. Some pipes made from bendy straws and an odd sort of furnacew like thing made from a PVC pipe end cap have been added,
along with a ladder, made from the traditional flexi-trak.
After a judicious sprinkling with paving stones, I covered everything in sand, and painted it up to match everything else. By this time, I had some Beaten Copper paint aswell (I didn;t have it when i was painting the first two boards), so there some of it in there aswell. When all this was dry, I added PVA glue to the bottoms of the craters to make them appropriatly muddy. This tile is notabl;e for having the largest amount of ground-level ground to place other stuff on.
