TILE
4: 'HILL'
| All
tables need some sort of hill. In this case, the hill in question
is more of a building, permanatly fixed to the table. I was inspired
by some studio mordhiem terrain, which had large raised areas built
in. This hill or block adds a large amount of higher ground to the
table, without the use of Towers or platforms. The
tile was buitl like the rest, but i added a hill made from a rectangle
of 30mm Polystyrene glued to an identical shape made from 40mm polystyrene.
I hads decided that there had to be access t the top, so there are
two recessed ladders, some bulkheads and a ramp. The bulkheads have
been assembled to form a small building attached to the hill's side,
with the ramp leadign up to it. |

The ramp is made from thin corrugated card, with flywire glued to
it's surface, and decorated with further card, and rivets. The front
of the hill has had some other stuff added, like a massive blast
door, soem pipes, air vents, and a sort of bunker like thing, with
a massive PVC pipe beside it.The
pipe was cut in half, and has card strips and rivets added to it's
surface for that extra industrial look. I also found an incredible
vent at the local hardware shop. With minor addidiotns of rivets
and card, it was glued tot he top of the hill as some sort of massive
exhaust port. The whole hill was paitned up with textured paint,
and given
a going over with netural grey and fortress grey drybrushing for
the concrete look. With so much concrete, addid paving seemed unnesecary.
